![]() What were you planning to do? I'd be interested in your ideas about how to build a druid. They also make decent secondary tanks IME. They can be good damage dealers, esp with their AoE spells (but even with just weapons) if you want. Put what's left over in con but I wouldn't make it lower than 6-8 unless you're good at PoE combat.įWIW, I wouldn't make a druid my primary tank bc they only have moderate deflection. Build a character as one of eleven classes such as Barbarian, Chanter, Cipher, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Priest, Ranger, Rogue and Wizard. Perception for dialog (if you care about that). (Maybe favor dex if you'll be using fast weapons or spells and might if you'll be favoring slow weapons and spells.) Resolve for deflection. Next might/dex should both be fairly high. ![]() ![]() I think I made con 8 (which is one reason I bumped Resolve). (Concentration is good for casters so they don't get interrupted.) I left perception at 10 but some ppl will bump that for deflection (I'd put it in resolve instead if that's the reason) and also dialog choices. Most of my time spent at character selection was spent on google and various places trying to answer my own question, to no avail. I just finished pillars 1 earlier today and hopped into pillars 2. I bumped resolve to 12 IIRC for the boost to deflection and concentration. Halp So as the titles says, I can’t for the life of me decide on a class as my main character. (Some ppl put dex as high as might and leave resolve at 10). I maxed intellect and almost maxed might. I have a Hearth Orlans for the racial benefit that you get if you attack an enemy at the same time someone else in your party is attacking them. Yeah and thats why I was thinking about doing a ranger run. You encounter Aloth regardless unless you avoid the tavern which is a really dumb idea. I can only recommend Chanter and Paladin second. With revamped inventory screens, expanded spells, abilities and overall controls, the game promises to captivate the RPG fanbase for months ahead. I hate to rest (often have critical fatigue before I do) so I don't use spells as much as you may plan to. And about the 'best class for solo runs', well, it depends on how you would play the game. Featuring multilayered environments, players will have class freedom and engage in true CRPG character development throughout the game. ![]() Tabs will automatically rename to their corresponding characters name, so in a sense it gives you a pseudo party view once youre done with all of them. It may sound like a stereotype of the genre, but it’s more accurate to call it an archetype. Tab 1 is strictly for player character only therefore it will not feature companion only subraces, cultures, backgrounds and so on. My druid is not min-maxed and I use both ranged and melee. Pillars of Eternity is an isometric RPG with pre-rendered backgrounds, a huge fantasy world, an epic storyline involving gods and mortal, and a party of oddball characters each with their own narrative threads to pull on. ![]()
